Seligman to Williams

We closed up the RVs and headed through Seligman. Our first stop was The Black Cat Bar. Since it wasn't even 10:30 AM yet I asked the lady if she had Irish Coffee. Her response was, " I have coffee and I have alcohol." With the limited options available to us we each ordered a cup of coffee with Bailey's Irish Cream.

When we finished our coffee we walked across the street to the Seligman Motoporium. There were a lot of vintage cars that served as the inspiration for the Disney "Cars" movie.

When it got to be 11:00 we stopped in at the Hiway Hot Dog where got chili cheese dogs and onion rings for an early lunch.

We walked on down the street and went into a few different shops to see if there was anything new and different that we haven't already seen dozens of times on this trip.

We finished up our time in Seligman with a stop at Angel Delgadillo's Sno Cap for some ice cream. The place is a lot of fun with things like the doors having handles on both sides and the sign to "Pull" on the hinge side of the door. When you order they shoot a fake stream or ketchup or mustard at you, offer you a cup of ice filled several inches above the cup, and offer you half of an ice cream cone and say it's on sale for half off. Paula and I got ice cream cones and joined the guys to finish those before we started on towards Williams.

We had to leave Route 66 and rejoin I-40 to drive the 35 miles to Williams. When we got there we went straight to the Grand Canyon Railway RV Park to see if they had space. We got the two very last spaces they had available. We registered and bought our train tickets for the trip to the Grand Canyon in the morning.

After we got all set up we went over to Jeff and Paula's motorhome and relaxed for a while before taking their Jeep and heading downtown. We had dinner at the Fiesta Mexican Grill. I had read a review that it was a local favorite more than a tourist trap. The food was good and we all enjoyed what we had ordered.
